We’re thrilled to announce that Emmaus Cornwall will have a stall at the Newquay Orchard Fayre on Saturday 15th June 2024 to promote our social enterprise, Emmaus Community Trees. The Fayre, a celebration of the Orchard as a beautiful space for everyone, brings together the best of the Newquay community, featuring local food, crafts, and entertainment.

The Newquay Orchard Fayre unites the Newquay community and showcases a variety of local arts, entertainment, and delicious treats. With a focus on fun and entertainment, this year’s Fayre promises free workshops, activities from organisations, and plenty of games, music, spoken word performances and stalls.

At Emmaus Cornwall, we are excited to participate in this community-focused event. We’ll be promoting our tree nursery, Emmaus Community Trees, a social enterprise dedicated to growing trees and plants for sale. Our goal is to fight climate change and generate income to open accommodation for homeless people in Cornwall.

Our stall will be set up with a gazebo and tables. We’re keen to increase our profile within the community, explore possibilities for collaboration, and attract new volunteers. We’ll have samples of our trees at different sizes and stages of development for visitors to see. Additionally, we’ll have a selection of trees for people to identify, with forms available to write down answers. We’ll also be selling some of our local Hazel whips and are looking into offering giveaways too!

We invite you to come and visit our stall, learn more about Emmaus Community Trees, and see how you can get involved. Whether you’re interested in purchasing a tree, volunteering, or just want to learn more about what we do, we’d love to chat with you.

The Newquay Orchard Fayre is a free event starting at 10 am and running until 3 pm. Come enjoy the food and drink, dance, laugh, chat, and make sure to tell your friends!
