On 19 July 2025, a team from Emmaus Coventry & Warwickshire will be taking on a thrilling abseil down the iconic Coventry Cathedral.
Three people we support and two staff members will be stepping over the edge to raise funds for essential upgrades to our accommodation. We’re replacing old water tanks and radiators to help keep our community warm.
We’re applying for grants, but these won’t cover the full cost. Through this challenge, we’re hoping to raise £500 towards the work – and we need your help.

Your local homelessness charity
Emmaus Coventry & Warwickshire is a local charity dedicated to helping those who have faced homelessness to turn their lives around. We offer safe accommodation, support and work opportunities, so people can rebuild their lives. We currently have space to accommodate 17 people at our accommodation in Binley, Coventry. Everyone has their own bedroom, and we have several shared living spaces and a large garden area. We provide meals, clothing and toiletries. Watch a video tour of our accommodation on YouTube.
Why we’re fundraising
Our accommodation is based in a former vicarage, in the Binley area of Coventry, and over the past 30 years we’ve worked to make it a safe, welcoming home. We’ve recently received funding for new windows to improve energy efficiency, but the water tanks and radiators also need replacing.
Hopefully our grant applications will cover some of the cost, but for the rest we’re hoping you can help. Please sponsor our abseil team to support this vital upgrade.
