As part of Volunteers’ Week, we were pleased to welcome Claire and Julia from Talent Acquisition company AMS, who spent a day supporting our charity.
Claire joined our foodbank van team, helping to collect and deliver donated food and essential supplies to food banks and community hubs across the city. She described the experience as humbling and a real eye-opener, highlighting the scale of need and the impact of behind-the-scenes support.
Julia got stuck into gardening and was completely in her element. She even brought along some flowers for the hanging baskets outside our accommodation – a thoughtful gesture that added a splash of colour to the entrance and helped create a more welcoming space for the people we support.
We’re really grateful to Claire and Julie for giving their time, energy and care. Volunteering like this makes a real difference and helps us continue providing support, training and work opportunities to people who have experienced homelessness.
