This weekend, staff, volunteers and people supported by Emmaus Coventry & Warwickshire abseiled down Coventry Cathedral to raise money for essential heating repairs at our accommodation in Binley.
Huge congratulations! Despite heavy rain and strong winds throughout the day, our team braved the elements and completed the challenge, cheered on by friends, supporters and passers-by.
We’re pleased to share that we’ve already raised more than £700 so far – well above our £500 target. Thanks so much to everyone who did the abseil, donated or came along to show support.
We’re especially grateful to Coventry Cathedral for hosting this event for local charities, and to Kimberley White from Stoke Heath Community Centre, who took part alongside our team and continues to support our work.
Donations are still welcome and will help fund much-needed improvements to the heating system in our accommodation.
