How to donate goods

We accept donations of furniture, homeware, electrical appliances, bric-a-brac, books, music, textiles, and clothes. You can drop-off donations of items at our Emmaus Dover charity store, or, for larger furniture items, you can request a collection.

We are happy to accept most household items but there are some exceptions for legal, environmental, or practical reasons. This includes soft furnishings without a fire label, safety items, baby equipment or any item that is not in a good, saleable condition.

Where possible, we encourage you to drop off your donated items at our Emmaus Dover charity shop at Archcliffe Fort.

If you would like to donate larger furniture items, we can collect them for free. Click the button to complete our online request form and upload images of the items. Please note that requesting a collection does not guarantee that we will accept the items and our collection team’s discretion will be final.

Why donate goods to Emmaus Dover?
Make a difference

Why donate goods to Emmaus Dover?

Emmaus Dover relies on your continued kind support and donations of items to sustain the support we offer to people who have previously experienced homelessness. All proceeds from the sale of your donated goods will be used to support individuals  at our Archcliffe Fort community, home for up to 27 people.

With every item we receive as a donation, we always do our utmost to sell, refurbish, recycle, or generate an income to support our charity. If you are donating furniture, please request and take the time to complete a Gift Aid form to increase the value of your donation.
