It has been closed for over a year, but we are now thrilled to announce that our store on Newland Avenue will be re-launched on Wednesday 22 July.
Our team has been working hard behind-the-scenes on a completely new look for the shop, which will reopen with a new name: Emmaus Newland.
Our new opening hours are: Monday to Saturday 10am – 3pm. These reduced hours will allow us time to implement a rigorous daily cleaning regime at the end of each day.
This stylish store, at 193 Newland Avenue in Hull, is fully stocked with a range of quality pre-loved clothes, as well as a bric-a-brac and small furniture area to browse through. We’re operating a cash-only till at this time.
We’re really proud of our new-look store. The makeover was led by local interior designer Rob Fawcett, who also kindly runs upcycling workshops for our companions.
Please avoid visiting our store if you or members of your household have been experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.
We have completed a COVID-19 secure Risk Assessment. In order to give everyone a pleasant, safe experience at Emmaus Newland, we now have a one-way system in place to aid social distancing, and will be limiting numbers of customers at any one time. We’d be grateful if customers avoided visiting in large groups.
Alongside new cleaning measures in place, we’ve installed perspex screens at our till. Please wear a face mask during your visit. The changing rooms will be out of use at this time.
If you wish to drop off donated items, please help us by bagging/boxing clothes and/or smaller items. We’ll be keeping every donated item in quarantine for 48 hours before sorting to go on the shop floor.
We look forward to welcoming you soon.
