Emmaus Hull & East Riding is a vibrant and growing charity focussed on supporting people affected by homelessness. We don’t just offer a bed for the night; we offer a home for as long as someone needs it, as well as meaningful work in our social enterprises and a sense of belonging.
A large proportion of our charity’s income is generated via our social enterprise which is based around our charity shops and the collection and sale of furniture, household goods, clothes, textiles, books, music, and bric-a-brac.
Emmaus is unique in that the people we support – our companions – directly contribute within our social enterprise, gaining valuable skills, confidence and experience to help them achieve their personal goals. Our companions work alongside local volunteers and contribute in all areas of our social enterprise.
This is an exciting time to join us. To help take us forward and realise our ambitions, we are seeking a Retail Operations Manager with experience of retail management and developingment. You will have excellent people skills, be highly organised and able to develop individuals and a team.
The role will cover the management of people, ensuring the smooth running of our charity shops whilst delivering great customer service. You will be able to lead by example, inspire others around you and empower people within their work.
