Emmaus Hull & East Riding provides house clearance services to individuals, businesses and organisations across Hull and the East Riding. By choosing a house clearance with Emmaus, you are directly supporting a local homelessness charity.

Emmaus offers two types of house clearances – a free ‘cherry pick’ service and a full, paid-for service. Whichever option you choose, we have in place public and employer liability insurance for all of the work we undertake.

In addition to house clearances, Emmaus Hull & East Riding can also undertake a garage clearance or office clearance. All of our clearances aim to collect and make use of as many saleable items as possible, helping to save them from the waste-chain and raising vital funds to support our charity.

Our free ‘cherry pick’ service

Our team provides a free ‘cherry-pick’ service that is fast and friendly, and carried out in a courteous manner. We are able to collect good quality, saleable items such as large furniture, bric-a-brac, electricals and small appliances in full working condition. Our free service doesn’t include any waste, damaged or broken items and anything unfit for sale. Cherry pick clearances are always subject to the driver’s discretion and anything that doesn’t meet our store’s standards is unable to be collected.

Our full house clearance service

Our team can carry out full house clearances, making use of the items we can and recycling or disposing responsibly of the remaining items. Our paid-for house clearances include all waste, unwanted items, white goods and furniture. We are unable to clear fixed items such as units screwed into walls, fitted appliances and fitted wardrobes. Prior to the clearance taking place, a member of our team will come out to assess the work you require and provide you with a quote.
