8-year-old Jacob is busy training and fundraising for the Big Marathon Month, when he will walking and running the marathon distance of 26.2 miles during June 2022.
Jacob would like 100% of the funds raised to go to Emmaus Leeds, helping us to continue supporting people who have experienced homelessness in Leeds and beyond.
Jacob said; “I really like going to Emmaus Leeds where Daddy works as I like to go and see the people and Emma the cat. They help loads of people who don’t have anywhere to live. I want to do this to raise lots of pennies to help them. I am a kind boy and like to help people.
“As an extra challenge Emmaus are asking if we want to try for 70 miles in recognition of the Queens Platinum Jubilee so I am aiming for that. Also my friend Little Audrey went to live in the stars in December so I am remembering her. When I did the Big Marathon Month in June 2020 we used to cycle, walk or scooter to her house to take her treats and wave through her window.”
