This week, many of our companions have completed NVQs and Maths and English qualifications thanks to the support of Ken Bate Associates. Ken Bate Associates delivery training to a number of Emmaus sites including Preston, Burnley, Hull, North East, Norfolk, Village Carlton, Oxford, Hampshire, Brighton and Dover; a number of which have also just celebrated success like Emmaus Leeds.
Community Leader Paul Cloke said; “There are so many ways to progress and develop at Emmaus Leeds and these kind of partnerships are key. Opportunities like this can really make a difference in peoples lives and we see their confidence increase because of it. Well done all!”
Ken Bates said; “When we work with companions at each community it reminds me why the team originally started our careers in adult education, its so rewarding to see companions achieve qualifications that will help them move on in life and also to see the level of appreciation from each and every community, its simply a privilege to play a small part in the support that Emmaus can offer”.
