One very important way in which you can help Emmaus Leeds is to donate items which we can then sell. All the proceeds raised from your donated items will go directly to support formerly homeless people at our Leeds community.
We depend on your continued support and kind donations to keep us going and we always do our utmost to sell, recycle or re-use to generate an income from everything you give us.
We are happy to accept most household items but there are some exceptions for either legal, practical or environmental reasons. Before donating items to Emmaus Leeds, please check what items we can currently accept. If you’re donating smaller items, please give them a good clean and box or bag them up, adding labels where possible.
Where possible we ask that you drop-off your donated items to our Secondhand Superstore on St Mary’s Street. Emmaus Leeds offers a free collection service for you to donate furniture and larger items. We also provide a Leeds house clearance service.
To arrange a free collection click the button below to complete our online form or call us on 0113 248 4288, Monday – Friday, 9:30am – 4:30pm.
Based on the latest COVID-19 guidance to charity shops, we are able to carry out collections and have updated our risk assessments. When a collection booking is confirmed over the phone, you will be asked some questions to help determine the level of risk to our teams. We are unable to collect items from any household with someone showing symptoms of COVID-19, shielding or self-isolating.
To help reduce the risk of virus transmission, we ask that where practical, furniture to be collected is left as close to the front door as possible. It is always at the driver’s discretion if an item can be collected or not, based on the quality of the goods and the level of risk to our collection team.
