On the 21st January, Dave, a long standing companion at Emmaus Leeds, received his first dose of the Covid vaccination. Due to being within a priority group, Dave was invited for his vaccination by his local GP surgery.
He said; “I received my vaccine within 15 minutes of arriving at the doctors. I felt quite ill in the first 48 hours, but since then I have felt fine”. Emmaus Leeds General Manager Gina Morrison has said; “It is good to see Dave being amongst the first or our companions to receive their vaccinations. This is the first step on the road to Emmaus Leeds re-opening, being able to welcome customers back into our shops, and returning to normality along with the rest of the UK”.
