CLOSING DATE: Ongoing LOCATION: Emmaus Leeds TYPE: Volunteer

Do you know your Wedgwood from your Clarice Cliff? If so, you might be just the person we’re looking for to join our fantastic team of volunteers!

Why Volunteer For Us?

Emmaus Leeds is a charity with a difference; we are a community of up to 29 formerly homeless men and women (known as companions), staff members and volunteers working together to end homelessness. In exchange for volunteering in our social enterprise, companions are provided with accommodation, food and support as they rebuild their lives.

As a volunteer, you will become a key part of this community and contribute to the ongoing success of the organisation – not to mention free lunch and bus fares!

What Will You Be Doing?

You will be working alongside companions and members of the retail team, sorting donated bric-a-brac items and displaying them for sale. This will involve:

  • Sorting saleable items from rag items
  • Preparing & pricing items for display
  • Filtering premium or antique items for our online sales team
  • Creating eye-catching, themed displays on our shopfloor

We recognise that not all our volunteers will have all these skills, however full training will be provided where required.

So, if you have a few hours to spare each week and would like to help make a difference to our companions’ lives, we would love to hear from you!

If you are interested in volunteering for this role at Emmaus Leeds, please read the additional details document and complete the application form below. Please email your application to Mike Hainsworth at info@emmausleeds.co.uk.
