We would like to thank the Asda Foundation for granting us more than £400 to help pay for toiletries that our companions can use.
At Emmaus Oxford, we support people who have previously been homeless or experienced social exclusion by offering a place to live within a communal setting and the opportunity to gain meaningful work experience in our Barns Road store.
When someone joins Emmaus, they receive day-to-day support to help them rebuild their life and all living expenses are covered. The grant of £463 has been used to help purchase toiletries for the 28 people currently living at our charity.
Hannah Hutchings, Head of Fundraising at Emmaus Oxford, said:
“On behalf of everyone at Emmaus Oxford, I would like to say a huge thank you to the Asda Foundation for the grant. Purchasing toiletries might seem like a small expense however, supporting 28 people means we get through a lot of hygiene products. It has always been so important to ensure we are providing a safe environment and access to hygiene products and this grant has helped us to stock up on items for at least four weeks.”
