We’re pleased to share our autumn 2021 newsletter.
In this issue we’re looking ahead to Christmas and encouraging our supporters to take part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge this year if you can. We’re aiming to raise enough money to buy a new van for our social enterprise. Meaningful work is a vital part of how Emmaus Oxford helps people out of homelessness for good. Working on our vans in and our store gives our companions a routine, chance to learn on the job and a new role as part of the wider community. We’ll be sharing videos of our work on our website and social media channels from 30 November to 7 December, so please take a look and get involved if you can.
Giving back to help others in need – what we call solidarity – is another unique part of the Emmaus ethos. We’re pleased to celebrate our companion Shelly raising money for children with cancer by having a radical haircut. Lastly, our store is planning a huge bed sale in December, please keep an eye on our social media channels for more information.
