As part of BBC’s national focus on homelessness, our Head of Fundraising, Hannah, joined David Prever’s Breakfast Club on BBC Radio Oxford on Friday 10 December 2021 to let listeners know how they can help people who are rough sleeping or homeless.
One of Hannah’s suggestions was to donate to our rough sleeper outreach sessions. During the pandemic, we were seeing small numbers at weekly outreach sessions. Sadly, those numbers are starting to increase again and we are also seeing more and more demand for people wanting to live and work at Emmaus Oxford as well.
If you would like to support our rough sleeper outreach sessions, we are currently asking for donations of men’s winter coats, large fleeces, men’s boots and shoes, and warm socks. Donations can be dropped off at our Barns Road store in Cowley during opening hours.
Here at Emmaus Oxford, we run our services all year round, not just at Christmas or during the winter months. If you would like to support Emmaus Oxford financially, you can donate here: www.emmaus.pleasecheck.me/oxford/support-us/donate
