BBC Radio Oxford’s Adam Ball today interviews our eBay Sales Supervisor, Hannah Simpson, about volunteering opportunities in our eBay warehouse.
We are asking for enthusiasts with knowledge in a variety of fields to come and help us price our eBay warehouse stock in Templars Square Shopping Centre, Cowley, Oxford. Hannah said she is appealing to people with skills in valuing antiques and collectables, who might be fans of popular TV programmes such as Cash in the Attic and the Antiques Roadshow.
Whilst chatting to Adam Ball, Hannah explained that the local stamp collecting community had responded to a campaign Emmaus Oxford is running asking for volunteers. A kind gentleman had been to the warehouse and helped sort through boxes of stamp collections that had been donated. Hannah said he had given the team ideas on how to price different collections, indicating what collections may be more valuable than others.
We’re now appealing to people with knowledge in other fields, in particular those with an interest or knowledge in areas such as pottery and ceramics, books, cameras, clocks and artwork. Anyone with an interest in any of these categories is very welcome to come and have a look at what we currently have in stock.
Ideally Hannah would like to build up a network of enthusiasts who can pop over to the warehouse occasionally, to give pointers on pricing stock to ensure maximum profit for the charity. If you are interested in volunteering, either drop into the Emmaus shop on Barns Road in Cowley or click here.
