We are holding a Solidarity Sale on Saturday 19 March to support Emmaus Europe’s Ukraine Appeal.

Emmaus Oxford is part of an international movement made up of 410 Emmaus groups and communities in 41 countries. Emmaus groups around the world have come together to support the Oselya and Nasha Khata groups in Ukraine as war continues to take hold in the country, as well as the Emmaus groups in Poland and Romania which are supporting people who have fled their homes.

Emmaus Europe is working closely with the two Emmaus groups in Ukraine and groups on the Polish and Romanian borders who are supporting Ukrainian refugees. All proceeds from our shops on Saturday 19 March will be donated to Emmaus Europe’s appeal and will help with the following:

  • Meeting the needs expressed by the Ukrainian Emmaus communities to cover both their operating costs in the absence of their income-generating activities, and their work supporting the displaced people. In normal times, they have a lot of companions (around 90 people) and help homeless people in the Lviv region, through outreach work and handing out food. Their work needs to continue despite the conflict.
  • To buy food, medicines and health products in Poland to send to the Ukrainian groups.
  • To support the Polish and Romanian groups that are hosting and helping refugees on the border.

Please join us in solidarity by making a purchase at our Barns Road store in Cowley on this day. You can find us at 242 Barns Road, Cowley, Oxford, OX4 3RQ and we are open from 9:30am to 5pm.

If you are unable to make it to one of our shops for our sale, but would still like to support Emmaus Europe’s Ukraine Appeal, you can donate by visiting www.emmaus.pleasecheck.me/ukraine
