Emmaus Salford is proud to announce that we have officially become an accredited Living Wage Employer. This significant milestone reflects our commitment to ensuring that all our employees receive a fair wage that meets the real cost of living.

The Living Wage, as defined by the Living Wage Foundation, is an hourly rate independently calculated based on what people need to live on. It’s higher than the government’s minimum wage and is voluntarily paid by over 7,000 UK employers who believe their staff deserve a wage that meets everyday needs.

At Emmaus Salford, we have always valued the hard work and dedication of our team. Our community is built on the principles of respect, dignity, and solidarity, and paying a Living Wage is a natural extension of these values.

Becoming a Living Wage Employer involves a rigorous accreditation process. This includes ensuring all direct employees are paid at least the Living Wage and committing to extending this to on-site contractors. Our dedication to this process demonstrates our unwavering commitment to fair pay and our belief in the importance of a sustainable, ethical business model.

Paying a Living Wage is about more than just economics; it’s about giving people the security and stability they need to thrive. When employees are paid fairly, they can better support their families, engage more fully in their communities, and contribute to a more vibrant and resilient economy.

We are grateful to the Living Wage Foundation for their support and guidance throughout this process. This accreditation is just the beginning. We will continue to strive for excellence in all areas of our work, ensuring that Emmaus Salford remains a place where everyone feels valued and respected.

Thank you to our incredible team and community for making this achievement possible. Together, we are building a brighter, more equitable future.
